Cooling Without Penalty: Aerosol Decline, Heatwave Dynamics, and the Transition to Autonomous Civilisation

Abstract

The global decline in aerosol pollution has produced a counterintuitive climatic effect: stronger heatwaves. While cleaner air improves public health, the reduction of reflective aerosols removes a temporary cooling shield, revealing the full warming force of greenhouse gases. This essay integrates climate physics, entropy‑based development theory, entropic growth and development paradigm, and experimental microeconomics to analyse how autonomous civilisation emerges within legacy infrastructures. A game‑theoretic model illustrates strategic interactions between states, industries, and planetary systems. The essay concludes that societies can achieve both clean air and reduced heatwaves by reducing greenhouse gases while maintaining low aerosol levels.
