About the Song

Hacaacii is inspired by a real place where the small river Doganoo flows toward Dhidheesa, surrounded by flat grazing lands, forest edges, wildlife, and the sacred Odaa tree on the hilltop.

The song reflects the emotional pull of returning to a landscape where land, animals, people, and memory are inseparable.

The lyrics express longing, reflection, and the resonance of nature:

Maaf garaan na nanayee
